This sweet little boy will need a lot of care, devotion, and unconditional love from his adoptive parents to help him reach his full potential!
Liang-Chung will celebrate his 1 year birthday at the end of March. He is a sweet little guy who enjoys being held and played with, and he works very hard on accomplishing his daily physical therapy tasks.
Liang-Chung did not get a fair deal when he was born: due to complications at birth (fetal distress, meconium aspiration syndrome) he is now facing some significant and life-long medical issues. The complications at birth resulted in periventricular leucomalacia (a type of brain injury), which in turn led to cerebral palsy, visual dysfunction and some level of intellectual/developmental impairment. His test results for rare congenital diseases are negative and his heart, lungs, kidney and liver functions are normal.
Liang-Chung is a brave little boy who has been working hard to overcome the consequences of the birth trauma. He has physical therapy every day, and takes muscle relaxants. He eats and sleeps well. He enjoys being around people.
Liang-Chung’s nannies are very caring and are paying close attention to how he is doing. They work hard to ensure that he gets everything possible to aid him in his development. What Liang-Chung needs now in addition to his nannies’ dedication is a loving family who is prepared to accept him wholeheartedly, deal with whatever challenges their son may be facing, support him in overcoming them, and help him have a happy and fulfilling life!
